About PiTaV, Inc.
We are a team of scholars, community leaders, activists, and volunteers dedicated to supporting students currently attending primary and high school in Glen View, Harare, Zimbabwe who have experienced the death of their parents and the community in which they live.
The students we partner with are fortunate to be in the physical care of their extended family members, mostly grandparents.
Despite their hardships, our students dare to dream still, and we are privileged to be a part of their journey.

Additionally, we bridge the cultural divide by providing events which serve to connect PiTaV, Inc. global supporters with Zimbabwe and with each other.
Mission & Vision
At PiTaV, Inc. we believe that "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu" - literally meaning "a person is a person because of other people." This phrase has been shortened to "ubuntu" in Zulu/Ndebele or "unhu" in Shona to reflect our understanding that we are who we are because of the support of other people. In other words, we believe in the literal meaning of the proverb "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child."It is based on these beliefs that we are motivated to stand as a visible commitment to improving the quality of life of children impacted by HIV/AIDS and to supporting the families who care for the children.
